Lychnis or Campion?

hi, I have 3 moths from various trappings

1. I think this was identified at the time as a Lychnis

2. I identified as a Lychnis - now I'm wondering if it is a Campion

3. I think this one is a Campion?

  1. If you look at the 2 stigma: at the dorsum end you will notice that they do not meet up, rather there is a small (linked) gap, forming a V with a flat bottom. So all 3 are Lychnis. In the Campion the base of this "V" is rounded iternally rather than flat.

  2. Hmmm - not so sure about the third one. It has that hint of purple about it which is supposed to be diagnostic of Campion. The left wing could be said to have that link rounded, so perhaps it is a Campnis?

  3. Sorry, you are right Dave, the V is U shaped on the left hand side as I described. Number 3 is a Campion.
