just had to show this

Please delete if not allowed on this blog! I got a Clifden Nonpareil pupae from a friend who has reared these blueautiful moths for a few years. Not likely to trap one so it was lovely to see. thought id share some pics.

  1. I suspect you will get it in your trap one day, Darren! There seem to be fairly regular records now from Berks and Oxon while there have been a few seen in South Bucks as well. There's certainly no shortage of the food-plant locally (aspen and other poplars).

  2. Beautiful. Don't be so sure you'll not trap one. There have been 4 in Bucks in 12 years and they are probably established in Berkshire now. So may be coming your way in the not too distant future.
