I had 6 Red-belted Clearwing to my MYO lure this morning in my garden at Beenham, Berks (SU594689) and 4 of the same to a CUL lure this afternoon. (Nothing to TIP or VES.) We do have a 35+ year old apple in the garden so perhaps not surprising. I thought initially that I had also brought in Red-tipped but on closer inspection it appears that the underside of the wings of the Red-belted have many red scales (see second picture), something that the books don't mention.
