Tawny for me

After seeing the recent post about Tawny Pinion i prayed i would get one and was amazed when i did, I've never seen one before. Even more amazing i had another Tawny Pinion in a trap i check weekly in Northampton. It must be having a good year. Also in my garden trap was Common Plume and Beautiful Plume as well as the usuals.

  2. I don't know if he will post himself but David Roy also caught a Tawny Pinion in Crowmarsh Gifford over the weekend - a first for him too. It was a first me last year as well - I think I've mentioned on more than one occasion that it was one of my bogey moths. then i caught one in my garden followed immediately by a couple more in local woodland traps, so it was a similar scenario as for you Darren. It's a fantastic moth.
