Clay last night?

I felt this looked good for Clay, though the date would suggest it probably isn't. I did have a White-point in the trap as well, which doesn't look quite as thickset and has a white "point" rather than a smear. Unfortunately I didn't keep it, so it may be one that got away!

  1. Hi Phil,
That's a White-point for me, I'm afraid. Even without an indication of size the proportions don't look quite right for Clay which is generally a longer-winged moth. The white "point" on White-point is often circular but this isn't always so and it can actually look a bit like the tear-drop on Clay sometimes.

  2. Thanks Dave,
That's rather what I expected, but I thought it worth asking just in case!
