Hummingbird Hawk-moth


I was a bit surprised to see this Hummingbird Hawk-moth enjoying the nectar from my Physostegia this lunchtime, in dull and drizzly conditions. Non-native plants have their uses!

    I don't know which is more impressive: seeing the moth in dull and drizzly conditions, or this stunning photograph which is anything but dull. Congratulations, Phil!

    Thanks Tim. It was the best of 151 shots so more a case of brute force rather than skill!
