Indeed, the warmer nights seem to have been encouraging a few early emergences. I had Clouded Drab at Westcott on the 3rd (earliest ever here) and I've heard of other examples of it about too. Oak Beauty appeared on the same night but the earliest I'm aware of for our area this year seems to have been one in south Bucks on 11th January. Last night produced a Hebrew Character here which isn't a record but again it is quite a bit earlier than usual.
