Two queries

About 170 moths last night including 2 Mullein Waves-a first for me. Just the two I'm having trouble with. The first I feel I should know and the second a little opaque fellow. Any help appreciated.

  1. Hello Steve, they are Lunar-spotted Pinion and Muslin Footman. The latter is usually regarded as being a fairly scarce species but seems to have undergone a bit of a population explosion locally this year. I've had it at three sites in Bucks within the last week, two of them woodland and the other my own garden.
