More problems

The Yellow Underwings have arrived and yet another learning curve to get my poor head round. If I had to guess (which I do) I reckon all these are Large but grateful for confirmation or otherwise.

  1. hi, I think the middle one is a Broad Bordered Yellow Underwing.

  2. Mark is correct, Tom, the middle one is Broad-bordered Yellow Underwing while the other two are Large Yellow Underwing. Broad-bordered Yellow Underwing doesn't vary all that much so it is easy to get used to that one. Depending upon the type of egg-boxes you use it might also help to get used to their faces, which are very different for each yellow underwing species. They tend to reverse into the spaces so will be staring out at you and can be ID'd very quickly just by looking at them head-on.
