Can anyone confirm the i.d. of this pug i had in my Aylesbury garden trap this morning - possibly White-spotted? I also had a nice female Oak Eggar hatch, reared from larvae supplied by Dave Wilton. Thanks, from Dave Maunder

Oak Eggar |
Morning Dave, yes that's White-spotted. I'm awaiting my Oak Eggar eggs to hatch from a female that came to my trap a couple of weeks ago. Are you going to try assembling with it?
ReplyDeleteI tried assembling yesterday but no luck; did the same a few weeks back with another female, also without luck, so can only presume they don't occur in the Aylesbury area. Birds got the first female eventually, and i released yesterday's moth at night.
