Micro query

    Do you have any different views of the moth, Steve? Nothing springs immediately to mind.

    How about Parachronistis albiceps? Not one I've seen but with the Hazel around here I live in hope.

    The fourth image on the Hants moth site looks a good match, but don't take this as a definite ID until someone else can confirm or correct.

    Thanks both. I must say Nigel, having looked at various images on-line your suggestion looks about as near as it's possible to be to the correct answer. Great stuff.

    Further to my last comment my wife informs me we do have a small Hazel in the garden.
