It was expecting too much to get a huge return from this National Trust chalk grassland site above High Wycombe, Bucks after a day of rain but I went anyway and ended up with a mediocre 100 or so species. Considering how damp it was underfoot I suppose this should be heralded as a terrific result! Barred Rivulet, Kent Black Arches, Antler Moth, Rosy Minor, Double Lobed & Ear were good to see but there was little else of particular interest amongst the macro contingent.

At least there was a nice view of High Wycombe! |

The micro list was somewhat lacking, with only
Bedellia somnulentella,
Acompsia schmidtiellus &
Sitochroa palealis worthy of note. Most numerous moths to the three MV lights were Shaded Broad-bar, Ruby Tiger, Dun-bar, Dusky Sallow &
Eucosma campoliliana.
