Tort ID please?

Sorry about the even poorer quality of photos but can anyone do an ID from these pics - I've not been able to get a decent match.I got my first Rush Veneer for many years and a fresh Maiden's Blush which is always nice to see.

The other pic I think is a tired July Highflyer?

On the miniature theme from yesterday there was a tiny Holly Blue in the garden today.

  1. Hi Mark, the micro is Dichrorampha acuminatana, on the first image the markings on the cilia are nicely shown.

Your other moth is a Yellow-barred Brindle.

  2. Just noticed your comment on the tiny Holly Blue you saw. On a similar theme I saw a very small white butterfly in our garden today, it didn't settle so can't be sure of the ID, but it wasn't much bigger than a Yellow Shell.
