A parting gift

Last spring a ragged female Emperor left some eggs behind in the trap. After a summer of feeding them blackthorn,  three males emerged today.

I don't often find any of the good species that others turn up,  living as I do surrounded by over fertilised farmland but just occasionally something nice says hello.
Here's hoping for a female out of the five remaining pupae.
