Bryotropha terrella?

I am fairly sure the second image is of Bryotropha terrella, but I'm not certain about the first, There appears to be a hint of a paler band at three-quarters, but there are no dark spots. There is a fairly similar image on the Gelechiid recording scheme site, though, so it seems likely.

  1. Hi Phil,
Could be (I had terrella last night too) but less well-marked specimens can be difficult, especially from photos. Did you consider Scrobipalpa acuminatella for the first?

  2. Yes I did initially ID it as Scrobipalpa acuminatella! I wasn't sure though, so I retained it, but perhaps not worth pursuing further...
