I almost missed this tiny micro (leaf-miner size) in the bottom of my garden trap. I don't know if it can be identified just from my photo?
The second micro I need help with has fw length 6mm and looks distinctive, but I can't place it.
Many thanks,
Steve Trigg, Cookham
Hello Steve,
ReplyDeleteThe first is rather tired-looking Argyresthia cupressella and the second is a well-marked Rhopobota naevana.
Many thanks Dave. The Argyresthia is a new addition to the garden list. The Rhopobota naevana I should have recognised from its shape, but I have not seen such a well-marked individual before.
