As I'm a newbie to this area, could someone confirm if this is Stigmella anomalella, found on a rose, probably Dog Rose, in the garden.
And also, because Dave's previous post reminded me, I wish I'd taken the time to get a better photo of this very fresh looking Nephopterix angustella on August 28th, a sit looks to be well coloured still.

The chances are that it is Stigmella anomalella, Adam, which is very common, but that's quite an old vacated mine and the early part of it is not at all clear so Stigmella centifoliella can't be ruled out. It is sometimes necessary to rear these through from active mines in order to separate them (luckily the adults do look quite different).
