Another COAM Session

Rob Payne and I ran a couple of lights on the Chiltern Open Air Museum site again last night (I'm not doing it every week, it just worked out that way!). Although we had fewer lights than last week, the numbers and species numbers were only slightly down at 128 moths of 48 species (plus a few taken away for further study).

Most common were Flame Shoulder, Silver-ground Carpet, Clouded Silver, Scorched Wing, Orange Footman and Pale Tussock.

Species not already on my year list were Common Marbled Carpet, Sallow Kitten, Green Silver-lines, Knot Grass, Clouded Border, Pale Prominent, Ingrailed Clay, Treble Lines, Small Magpie, Crambus lathionellus and Epiblema cynosbatella.
