Recent garden moths in Cookham

I am very envious of Martin's Emperor moth - a fantastic catch. However, I did get 2 garden firsts this week - Pale Tussock (3 individuals) and a Chocolate-Tip. They are both lovely moths.

Other moths included Flame Shoulder, Scalloped Hazel, Shuttle-Shaped Dart and the 2 individuals photographed below, which I am fairly certain are Common Marbled Carpet and Oak-Tree Pug, but a second opinion would be very helpful. (FW of pug 9mm.)

  1. Yes to Common Marbled Carpet. Like Dave Wilton says, Pugs are now getting too difficult to id without chopping. That said I'm about to confirm Steve's Common Pugs...
