Varied arrivals
I've spent the day, on and off, wrestling with some troublesome (for me) IDs in a very varied catch after a warm night here in Thrupp, Oxon. Top bod in my own eyes was a beautiful Maiden's Blush, but it took me quite a while and the invaluable help of Ben Sale from Essex Moths to nail a Small Square-spot, a Large Nutmeg and the Rustic Shoulder-knot shown above. Other arrivals were three each of Shuttle-shape Dart, Flame Shoulder and Muslin, with singles of Clouded-bordered Brindle, Common Carpet, Pale Prominent and the Footman below which I'm assuming in spite of its colour to be Orange because of the time of year. Five maybugs completed the scene. Martin Wainwright
