Apodia bifractella

Inspired by the Daves, Wilton and Morris, who posted recently about this species, I went hunting it successfully on a stand of Common Fleabane by the River Chess today. Admittedly, this bit of the Chess is in Hertfordshire.

I came across five, eventually, but this little moth is easily missed. All the ones I found were dark and more or less plain and one could imagine someone encountering one by chance and being puzzled by its identity.
Andy.

  1. Well done Andy (even if you were in Injun Territory!).
