I'm over-confident!

I make this one ORTHOTAENIA UNDULANA, so I'm probably wrong!

Please let me know - I suppose it could be Celypha lacunana?

Many thanks, David

  1. Does the longitudinal pale streak of ground colour "just costal to the middle of the median fascia" perhaps indicate lacunana rather than undulana?

  2. Thanks, Keith - being inexperienced with these species (well, most micros if I'm honest!) I wasn't sure if the longitudinal streak was bold enough to go for lacunana. Some photos of undulana seem to have a few lighter scales in the same place. But I'm going with your judgement - thanks again. David

    1. It is also said that C. lacunana has more obvious dark patches on the tornal and apical cilia, which your moth seems to have.
