Mystery micro!

Firstly thanks to Martin Harvey and the team that came to Hawridge Common last night. We amateurs here learned a lot!

On the same night, this turned up. I'm trying to find anything like it in the Berks book and failing. Is it perhaps a dark form of something normally with a more distinct forewing pattern? It looks like there is some brown/yellowish mottling.

Many thanks

David

  1. Hi David, that one's a caddisfly, looks likely to be Athripsodes cinereus. Good to see you yesterday, enjoyed exploring the common.
