The season's second Merveille du Jour for the garden, this time a really fresh example, turned up last night amongst an otherwise typical collection of exactly 100 moths from 13 different species, more than half of which were Lunar Underwings.

I had one my worst traps ever last night down south on a cold and clear night. Just 5 moths, a Snout, 4 Lunar Underwing and a hornet!

ReplyDeleteYet to trap one myself this year, although I did trap what I thought was one earlier and you pointed out it was too small, too early and was a marbled green.
