Finally underway at the museum.

Had a chance to leave at light at COAM last night, to get my spring moth list underway.

Nothing spectacular but most numerous were Small Quaker and I had Streamer and Twin-spotted Quaker, both species I failed to catch up with last year.

I'm also wondering about this, if anyone can help with an id?

  1. Hi Dave, only a guess but Acleris schalleriana is a possibility.

  2. Hi Dave,
That's actually one of the inseparable pair Acleris ferrugana or Acleris notana and needs to be recorded as the aggregate unless you want to keep it back for Peter to determine via dissection. Streamer already is rather nice - I don't often see it before the beginning of April.

  3. Thanks Dave. I had a more easily identifiable notana/ferrugana but the spots on this one was throwing me.
