Hi David, Yes, that's Double-striped Pug. Records from March onwards are commonplace nowadays, earlier not so often but I did have one in the garden on 8th February 2020. They over-winter in the pupal stage so any warm spell at this time of year is quite likely to tempt them into emergence.

Thanks, Dave - great to see one so fresh - pugs seem to get worn so quickly - and then I find them impossible!
