Early Pale Mottled Willow

Another good catch last night in my central Oxford garden with a Twin-spotted Quaker new for my garden and a very early Pale Mottled Willow (is this the first of the year in the county?).

  1. Hi Adam, I've noticed occasional Pale Mottled Willow records in adjacent counties for a couple of weeks now and that's not unusual. The field guide does say that it can be found anytime between February and November. Here in Bucks we don't seem to have had a February record (this side of the millennium at any rate) but there are several March records of which the earliest I can find is 1st March 2000.
