Good to see all the prominent records coming in - my personal favourite group of moths. Despite moth numbers in the garden being incredibly low over the last few nights there was a slight reprieve on Thursday night with the extra cloud and I had a nice assortment of moths - Iron and Coxcomb Prominents and Powdered Quaker all being new for the garden in 2014, along with Brindled Beauty, Purple Thorn, Waved Umber, Clouded Drab and a small number of Common Quaker and Hebrew Character. Still no joy with female Emperors despite fairly good weather and several different assembling locations, some of which I have had males in past years - perhaps they had a poor year in 2013 because of the very cold spring? Perhaps I'm just being unlucky? Either way, the females are getting desperate for some attention!
