Day-flying Micros

An hour in the sunshine with a net this afternoon added four small micro species to this year's garden list here at Westcott, Bucks.  Most active were males of Incurvaria masculella, at least four of which were patrolling one of our hawthorns.  The others were all singletons, comprising examples of Acrolepia autumnitella, Phyllonorycter ulmifoliella and Elachista apicipunctella.
