Thatcham Reedbeds BBOWT reserve

A midweek trapping session at this BBOWT nature reserve,  was a great start to a hopefully fruitful season. Good numbers of the expected species with Common Quaker (21), Hebrew Character (11), Clouded Drab (3), Chestnut (2) and Early Thorn (4). Water Carpet was expected, but nine of them wasn't.  Singles of Early Tooth-striped, Red Chestnut, Pale Prominent were joined by the moth of the night  - a single White-marked. Micros were represented by a couple of Agonopterix alstromeriana.

Trapping sessions are held there once a month. If interested, details can be found on the Berks Moths website.
