Good Friday



Suddenly, a clutch of interesting moths here in the Robinson trap at Thrupp, Oxon: my first Nut-tree Tussock and (appropriately for Easter) Chocolate-tip, the last a moth which excited me very much last year when I met it for the first time after moving from Leeds.


Also - as shown here - this male Muslin Moth which seems to have suffered a curious bit of wing damage to its otherwise tasteful livery and - top - that excellent creature the Coxcomb Prominent which was pole-dancing on a strut of Mr & Mrs Robinson's simple but extraordinarily effective rainshield.
