I tried the trap last night in my central Oxford garden and was rewarded with the princely sum of 3 Early Greys and a Pug. The latter, though somewhat worn, was rather interesting and I'm tentatively going to stick my neck out and suggest Oak Tree rather than Brindled because of the larger distal spots with a pale area behind them and the more rounded appearance of the wing. I'd very much appreciate the view of someone who, unlike me, knows what they're talking about though.

Oak Tree Pug? |
It shows some characters of both Oak-tree and Brindled. If you kept it let me know and I'll chop it for you.
ReplyDeleteHi Peter, I'm afraid that I didn't keep it
