I ran a couple of MV traps in the reeds at
Walton Lake last night. There wasn't a great deal of activity around either light and only about 90 species were recorded, but many of those expected did put in an appearance (including
Chilo phragmitella,
Calamotropha paludella,
Schoenobius gigantella, Southern Wainscot & Silky Wainscot, the latter including one f.
bipunctata which I don't recall having seen before). Other species included Sallow Kitten, Maple Prominent, Brown-tail, White Satin, Small Ranunculus and Double Lobed.

Did you keep the Brown-tail? Would like it for a comparison slide against the Yellow-tail.
ReplyDeleteAs it happens I haven't released it yet so I'll keep it for you.
