Hi Andy, not sure but it has a hint of Grapholita lobarzewski about it so really needs to be checked. Do you still have the moth? If it is lobarzewski (and it may not be!) then it might even be a first for Oxon. I'll certainly point out the image to your county micro recorder and seek his expert advice.
It certainly looks like the image in the field guide now you have pointed it out and the size is right. Unfortunately I don't still have the moth as by the afternoon it had seriously battered itself and just wouldn't settle even when the pot was placed in the fridge. This one and only image is the only evidence I have although I will keep an eye out for it in future catches. It was certainly small enough to be easily overlooked.
