Red-belted Clearwing (Synanthedon myopaeformis)

Talking of red letter days ... At long last today I had an opportunity to try out some pheromone lures I have had for a while. A result pretty quickly with two Red-belted Clearwing moths (Synanthedon myopaeformis), a species I have never seen before and is clearly present in the garden. I have now recorded over 650 moth species in my garden.
