A Blog for moth recorders in Bucks, Berks and Oxon
This turned up on July 1st near Chesham. It's amazing what you start sorting through on a very wet day!
I'm imagine that this is some sort of Wainscot, but I'm not even sure about that! Can anyone help?
Best wishes, David
Hi David,Well, you are in the right area as it is a Mythimna species, but the choice is between Clay and White-point. I can't give a definitive answer, especially without some idea of size, but for me the general shape points more towards White-point.
That's a Clay, absolutely no doubt.
