This moth, caught here last night, appears to be a Mythimna species, but which one? Although most unlikely for this time of year I've been trying to convince myself that it's a Double Line. Comments, please and I still have the moth in case it warrants closer inspection.

ReplyDeleteThat's a smart-looking White-point for me too. The overall shape doesn't look right for Double Line and neither do the cross-lines, particularly the outer one which should be much straighter for that species. As you say, the flight period is against Double Line too and it is single-brooded on the continent as well as over here.
