flame shoulders

Just to mention that a Radford's Flame Shoulder was confirmed from Herefordshire last night. It has been regular on the south coast but this is the first indication I have seen of inland migration/spread. In my experience Flame Shoulder is a rarity beyond early/mid October so if you get one now it is in fact more likely to be a Radford's than the resident one.

Needless to say perhaps, but any candidates should still be retained for confirmation as it would be new for the area.

  1. Indeed, I've been keeping my eye out for the last two or three weeks when one got to Hertfordshire (think it was about 23rd October).
