Oak Nycteoline?

 I had originally put this one down as Acleris hastiana but having just seen David's post from a couple of days ago I am now thinking Oak Nycteoline?

    Yes indeed, that's Oak Nycteoline. Like hastiana it has lots of variations but your example is quite close to the form ramosana illustrated in the macro field guide.

  2. Many thanks for confirming this. I didn't think it was quite the right shape for Oak Nycteoline but having looked at more images I can see it now. The prominent white front legs with a large spur seem quite a distinctive feature.
