Didcot on sea

Another predominantly coastal species in the Didcot garden trap last night - Feathered Ranunculus. While there are inland colonies/records of this species I expect this is another wanderer blown up from the south coast in the winds. Otherwise, despite the extremely mild weather last night the garden trap was pretty much empty, although there was yet another Box Moth.

  1. Ha, brilliant! I managed a photo of one next to its Large relative a week or so ago in Devon but not something I'd expect to see around here!
