Along with what I assume is a fairly late Blastobasis adustella but without the chevron and a greenish tinge.
Also from a few days ago this beetle with a very distinct V mark.
Large Yellow Underwings seemed to have had a resurgence in the last two nights and Lunar Underwings seem to be increasing in number each time I put the trap out. A Small Blood-vein also appeared on Thursday night.

Hi Andy, just a quick comment on the "beetle" which is actually a bug and probably a Mirid Bug. This site may help:

Hi Andy,
ReplyDeleteI think that your beetle may actually be a Plant/Capsid Bug. Perhaps Orthops basalis or a similar sps.
lovely Vestal
ReplyDeleteThank you for the comments. I did wonder if it was a bug but get irritated when all invertebrates are referred to as bugs. Hence the mistake. The Vestal is certainly an attractive colour.
ReplyDeleteThank
Agree that the bug is in family Miridae, but I think it is genus Lygus, which contains several similar and variable species.
