Large Wainscot

A pleasant surprise in the garden trap this morning was a pristine Large Wainscot Rhizedra lutosa.  As I live on top of the Chilterns, this is not a common species here!  This is my second garden record, though the last was 13 years ago!.

21 species recorded last night including 2 Merveille du Jour Griposia aprilina and 1 Grey Shoulder-knot Lithophane ornitopus.  Also 3 ichneumons, initially assumed to be the same species, but actually 3 different species (2 Netelia and 1 Ophion).
