Cauchas rufimitrella?

hi, I think this is Cauchas rufimitrella?

  1. It probably is, Mark. With some of these day-flying long-horns it is helpful to associate them with the food-plant - was it sat on a Cuckoo flower/Lady's smock (Cardamine pratensis), which is where they're usually to be found?

  2. actually it was on the moth trap! We do have a fair amount of hedge garlic, Alliaria petiolata, in the garden close to the trap which I keep for the various "whites". I'll take a look in the next few days if we get sun.
