Here's hoping for an improvement in our collective trapping fortunes now that May has arrived. The last few nights of April were pretty dire in the garden at Westcott, Bucks and if it wasn't for the hardy Hebrew Character I would have been in danger of getting a few zero returns. Like Martin, my collection from last night was just three moths, the only saving grace being that one of them was a first-for-the-year Rustic Shoulder-knot.
Update: going back in time, species seen but not yet mentioned on the blog include Light Orange Underwing (Kingswood, Bucks 6th April), Purple Thorn (Finemere Wood, Bucks 16th April), Common Pug (Westcott, Bucks 25th April) and Spectacle (Westcott, Bucks 28th April).
