Last night's garden trap yielded 1 Bordered Straw, a first for my garden.
I also had another first for my garden, a Small Fan-foot, although I am sure this is a very common moth.
New moths for the year included Udea olivalis, Pebble Hook-tip, Small Elephant Hawk-moth and Straw Dot, while by far the most numerous moth was Heart and Dart (29 out of a total of 96 moths).
Finally, could someone confirm for me that the moth below is a Large Nutmeg?
Steve Trigg, Cookham
Hi Steve, indeed that is a Large Nutmeg (and welcome to the Bordered Straw club!).
