Numbers perking up a little in Wolvercote, Oxon., but still plenty of room for improvement. We were, however, especially pleased to see the two species below in the past few days: a Green Arches (actually there were two in the trap, the first we've seen in the garden; the fact that the trap was right at the bottom of the garden, beside a small wood, might explain the arrival of what I think is a mainly woodland species); and a
Metalampra italica, which we had last year, and which seems to be continuing its expansion into the UK.
