Further images of Longwick leafmine on pear

I have added two more photographs. They are not brilliant but you should be able to see the gut line - the head appears pale through a lens. Hopefully they are good enough for your purposes. The leaf is currently stuck to our window!

  1. Looks like Stigmella pyri to me. Worth keeping to rear the moth.

  2. As it would be a Bucks first it would be really good to have the adult reared for confirmation. Would you like to try this or you could see if there is a volunteer to do it. Are there any more mines on the tree?

  3. I would rather someone with better skills attempted to do so! As yet I have not found further mines however it is a tall tree and I haven't tried a step ladder!
