  1. Very nice! This and L-album Wainscot are two more species I hope we'll all be getting in another year or two.

There have been lots of moths here over the past few nights (243 Lunar Underwings last night alone) but nothing at all unexpected. Two more decent nights to come before it starts to get really chilly!

  2. Lunar UW isn't especially abundant in my garden and double figures are fairly exceptional so this year it seems it must be having a great year as I'm well into double figures every night. Black Rustic too is having another good year and although well on the way out now Square-spot Rustics seem to have done well - like Lunar UW's I don't get the masses you get outside of most urban gardens but this year there has been lots. Conversely the peak numbers of Large YU which have already been, did not top 100 whereas in previous years they are around 200. Lesser YU too is not as abundant as normal yet Broad-bordered is doing quite well.
