Thanks to Colin Le Boutillier for allowing this record to be placed on the blog.
Whilst sweeping Mugwort on Rammamere Heath (just North of Leighton Buzzard) a single larva 35mm long was found and turned out to be that of the Wormwood
Cucullia absinthii. This is only the fourth Bucks record (third site) and first of a larva. A scarce moth which has declined nationally and a very good find.
