Longhorn Query.

Found this today in my garden in Tilehurst and not really sure of the species. I would say the FL was approx 6mm and the antenna approx 9mm. Any help would be appreciated  as this is a first for me.

  1. Judging by the yellowish hairs on the head I think this must be Cauchas rufimitrella, which has a form that has white markings on the wing. If the flower fragment shown in your photo is Garlic Mustard that would provide additional circumstantial evidence!

  2. Thanks Martin. It was the white markings on the wing that confused me as these are not shown in the Micro bible. Your eagle eyes are correct as I did find it on Garlic Mustard and luckily for me a piece ended up in the pot when trapping it.
